Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles for overnight freight delivery routes
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Adhere to strict HOS regulations and DOT compliance protocols
- Coordinate with dispatch teams for real-time route adjustments
- Handle secure freight loading/unloading with proper documentation
- Represent Swift Logistics with professional customer interactions
- Report road hazards and delivery issues through digital tracking systems
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (no DUIs in past 5 years)
- Minimum 1 year commercial driving experience
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and operate loading equipment
- Strong navigation skills with GPS proficiency
- Flexibility to work 10-12 hour overnight shifts (6 PM - 6 AM)
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Basic mechanical troubleshooting knowledge
- Excellent time management and problem-solving abilities
