Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (semi-trucks, dry vans) to transport freight
- Perform pre-trip inspections and ensure vehicle compliance with DOT regulations
- Plan efficient routes to meet delivery deadlines while maintaining safety standards
- Accurately document logs, bills of lading, and delivery paperwork
- Coordinate with dispatch team for real-time route adjustments
- Maintain clean driving record and adhere to all traffic laws
- Provide excellent customer service during loading/unloading operations
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable commercial driving experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate loading equipment
- Familiarity with DOT regulations and HOS compliance
- Strong navigation skills using GPS and route planning tools
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Flexibility for overnight trips and weekend shifts
- Basic mechanical knowledge for minor troubleshooting
