Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to transport freight between distribution centers and client locations
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate delivery documentation
- Adhere to DOT regulations and company safety protocols at all times
- Optimize delivery routes to ensure timely arrivals and fuel efficiency
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding delivery status
- Handle loading/unloading operations with proper equipment and techniques
- Maintain clean driving record and report any vehicle maintenance needs
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years commercial driving experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Familiarity with Southern California roadways and traffic patterns
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills
- Basic mechanical knowledge for minor vehicle troubleshooting
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
