Responsibilities
- Operate commercial motor vehicles (CMVs) safely and efficiently in adherence to all traffic laws and company policies.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the safety and mechanical soundness of the equipment.
- Maintain accurate logs and documentation, including electronic logging devices (ELD) and delivery receipts.
- Load and unload cargo as required, ensuring proper weight distribution and securing loads for transit.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding schedules, delays, and delivery issues.
- Uphold a high standard of safety culture and adhere to Hours of Service (HOS) regulations.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or Class B required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable driving experience preferred.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Physical) and drug screen clearance.
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no serious traffic violations or DUIs within the last 3-5 years.
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations and logbook compliance.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic mechanical knowledge to perform routine vehicle checks.
