Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks and trailers to deliver goods to customers in a timely and efficient manner.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations and safety standards.
- Load and unload cargo accurately, ensuring all items are secure and protected during transit.
- Maintain accurate Electronic Logging Device (ELD) records and logbook entries for all driving hours.
- Communicate professionally with dispatch and customers to resolve any delivery issues or delays.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, company policies, and safety protocols at all times.
- Keep the truck cabin and cargo area clean and organized.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Medical Card).
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience preferred.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Basic math skills for making change and calculating tolls.
- Strong ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
