Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks (Class A or Class B) over various terrains and weather conditions.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance and safety.
- Load and unload cargo using proper lifting techniques and equipment.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and HOS compliance.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding pickup and delivery schedules.
- Adhere strictly to all local, state, and federal traffic laws and company safety protocols.
- Keep the vehicle interior and exterior clean and presentable at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with the appropriate endorsements.
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no major violations in the last 3-5 years.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to meet strict delivery deadlines.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
