Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles to transport freight across designated routes
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and ensure compliance with DOT regulations
- Plan efficient routes to meet delivery deadlines while optimizing fuel usage
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation using electronic logging systems
- Collaborate with dispatch to handle loading/unloading procedures and cargo security
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and defensive driving techniques
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery interactions
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years of verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Proficiency in using electronic logging devices (ELD)
- Strong knowledge of NYC traffic regulations and metro area routes
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying weather conditions
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
