Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks to transport goods across designated routes
- Conduct thorough pre-trip/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate DOT logs
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and FMCSA regulations
- Plan efficient routes to optimize delivery schedules and fuel efficiency
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding shipments
- Ensure secure loading/unloading of cargo with proper equipment
- Resolve delivery issues and document any incidents or delays
Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class A license with minimum 2 years verifiable experience
- Clean MVR record and ability to pass DOT physical/drug screening
- Strong knowledge of Virginia traffic laws and hazardous materials handling
- Proficiency in using electronic logging devices and navigation systems
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate in various weather conditions
- Flexibility for overnight/weekend travel and irregular schedules
- Excellent time management and customer service skills
