Responsibilities
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Safely operate commercial vehicles, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
- Load and unload cargo securely, verifying manifests and handling freight with care.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic logging devices (ELD) and documentation.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers to ensure timely deliveries.
- Uphold a professional company image at all times, including maintaining a clean vehicle interior.
- Adhere to all DOT regulations and safety protocols at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or Class B with the appropriate endorsements.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable driving experience.
- Clean driving record with no major violations within the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong knowledge of map reading and route planning.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Basic mechanical knowledge to perform minor vehicle maintenance checks.
