Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A/B) across designated routes
- Adhere to DOT regulations and maintain accurate trip documentation
- Inspect vehicles pre/post-trip to ensure safety compliance
- Deliver freight punctually while maintaining exceptional customer service
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding shipment status
- Perform minor preventative maintenance and report mechanical issues
- Uphold Swift's safety-first culture through defensive driving practices
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License
- Minimum 1 year OTR or regional driving experience
- Clean MVR with no major violations in past 3 years
- Pass DOT physical and pre-employment drug screen
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and climb trailer ladders
- Familiarity with electronic logging devices (ELD)
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
