Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (trucks or tractor-trailers) for local/regional routes
- Adhere to DOT regulations and maintain accurate driving logs
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and basic preventative maintenance
- Load/unload freight using proper equipment and safety protocols
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding delivery status
- Maintain clean driving record and comply with all safety standards
- Support efficient route planning and delivery time management
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable commercial driving experience
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate loading equipment
- Strong knowledge of Virginia roadways and regulations
- Excellent time management and communication skills
- Willingness to work flexible hours including early mornings
- Valid HazMat endorsement preferred
