Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to transport freight across designated routes
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate logs (ELD compliant)
- Adhere to all DOT regulations and company safety protocols
- Coordinate with dispatch team for efficient route planning and delivery timelines
- Provide exceptional customer service during loading/unloading operations
- Manage cargo security and documentation throughout transit
- Perform minor vehicle maintenance and report mechanical issues promptly
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record
- Minimum 1 year verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Strong knowledge of federal/state transportation regulations
- Proficiency in using ELD systems and mobile applications
- Flexible availability including weekends and overnight stays
