Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial Class A or Class B vehicles in compliance with all traffic laws and company policies.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections (DVIR) and report any mechanical issues immediately.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring weight distribution is secure and accurate.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and all required delivery paperwork.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and the safety department.
- Adhere to strict DOT and FMCSA regulations regarding hours of service (HOS).
Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class A or Class B license (Class A preferred).
- Current DOT medical card or ability to obtain one.
- Clean driving record with no DUIs or reckless driving incidents within the last 3 years.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to meet strict delivery deadlines.
