Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial motor vehicles (CMV) in accordance with FMCSA and company policies.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness and safety compliance.
- Load and unload freight accurately and efficiently, adhering to weight limits and securement standards.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and daily logs.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding pickup and delivery times and any delays.
- Keep the cab and cargo area clean and organized during and after shifts.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record (MVR).
- 21 years of age or older.
- Pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination and drug screen.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable Class A driving experience preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally and perform physical tasks associated with loading and unloading.
- Strong commitment to safety and customer service.
