Responsibilities
- Safe Operation: Operate commercial vehicles in a safe and legal manner, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
- Maintenance: Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the truck and trailer are in top working condition.
- Logistics: Load and unload cargo efficiently, ensuring cargo is secure and protected during transit.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate logs, bills of lading, and delivery receipts as required by DOT regulations.
- Communication: Maintain constant communication with dispatch and customers to ensure timely delivery and address any route changes.
- Customer Service: Represent Prime Mover Transport professionally at all times, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
- CDL License: Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with the required endorsements (Hazmat, Tanker, or Doubles/Triples preferred but not required).
- Driving Record: Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no major violations in the last 3-5 years.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable driving experience in a commercial setting.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb in and out of the cab frequently, and sit for extended periods.
- Eligibility: Must be eligible to work in the United States and pass a DOT physical examination and drug screen.
- Equipment: Possess a current medical card and a reliable smartphone for logging and communication.
