Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks and tractor-trailers safely and efficiently.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections according to DOT regulations.
- Load and unload cargo using proper equipment (forklift, straps, etc.).
- Maintain accurate driver logs (ELD) and ensure compliance with all traffic laws.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery times and routes.
- Ensure the cargo is secured properly to prevent damage during transit.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Current Medical Certificate (DOT physical) valid for at least 6 months.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a drug screen and background check.
- Must be willing to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
