Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks and vans in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all FMCSA regulations and company policies.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the safety of the cargo and the vehicle.
- Load and unload freight securely, ensuring proper documentation and handling of cargo.
- Maintain accurate logs (DVIR, ELD) and comply with Hours of Service (HOS) regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any changes.
- Uphold the company's high standards for customer service and safety compliance at all times.
Qualifications
- Possess a valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record (MVR).
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Medical Card).
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable driving experience preferred.
- Ability to pass a drug screen and background check.
- Physically capable of performing the essential functions of the job, including lifting and bending.
- Familiarity with electronic logging devices (ELD) and modern cargo handling equipment.
