Responsibilities
- Operate commercial vehicles safely and efficiently throughout Washington DC metropolitan area
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations, safety protocols, and delivery schedules
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and document vehicle maintenance requirements
- Plan optimized routes using GPS technology to ensure timely deliveries
- Load/unload cargo with proper handling techniques and equipment
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and electronic records
- Communicate professionally with dispatch, clients, and team members
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable commercial driving experience
- Clean MVR with no major violations in past 3 years
- Ability to pass DOT physical and pre-employment drug screening
- Familiarity with Washington DC traffic patterns and regulations
- Strong time management and problem-solving abilities
- Basic mechanical knowledge for minor vehicle troubleshooting
