Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles to transport goods throughout the Bay Area
- Execute precise delivery schedules while maintaining strict adherence to DOT regulations
- Conduct thorough pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Utilize GPS navigation systems for efficient route planning and on-time deliveries
- Communicate professionally with dispatch, clients, and warehouse personnel
- Implement proper loading/unloading techniques to prevent cargo damage
- Document delivery exceptions and resolve customer inquiries with service excellence
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable commercial driving experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical examination and drug screening
- Proficiency in electronic logging devices (ELD) and transportation software
- Knowledge of California traffic laws and Bay Area geography
- Strong problem-solving skills for route challenges and weather conditions
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying weather conditions
- Excellent time management and communication abilities
