Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles for local/regional deliveries throughout Oregon and Washington
- Conduct thorough pre-trip/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate DOT compliance records
- Load/unload freight with proper securing techniques using provided equipment
- Optimize delivery routes to meet tight schedules while prioritizing safety
- Communicate proactively with dispatch and clients regarding shipment status
- Adhere to all FMCSA regulations and company safety protocols
- Maintain clean, professional appearance and vehicle presentation
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (no more than 2 moving violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable commercial driving experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical, drug screen, and background check
- Familiarity with Portland metro area and Pacific Northwest geography
- Proficient in electronic logging device (ELD) systems
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and work in varying weather conditions
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills
- Team player mentality with customer-focused approach
