Responsibilities
- Operate commercial vehicles (Class A or B) in a safe, legal, and efficient manner to ensure timely delivery of goods.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance and document any issues.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring items are protected from damage during transit.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and all required shipping documents.
- Navigate delivery routes efficiently, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
- Provide excellent customer service to clients at delivery sites, including signing for packages and maintaining a professional demeanor.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and management regarding route changes, delays, or mechanical issues.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or Class B with necessary endorsements (e.g., Hazmat, Tanker) as required for the role.
- A clean driving record with no more than two (2) moving violations in the past three (3) years.
- Pass a comprehensive background check and drug screen.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and perform physical tasks associated with loading/unloading.
- Strong knowledge of Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and safety procedures.
- Basic math skills for cash handling and inventory management.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
