Responsibilities
- Operate Class A commercial vehicles safely and efficiently to transport goods across designated routes
- Conduct pre-trip inspections, vehicle maintenance checks, and document all activities accurately
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations, safety protocols, and delivery schedules
- Load/unload cargo using proper equipment and secure loads according to industry standards
- Communicate effectively with dispatch team and clients regarding delivery status and potential delays
- Maintain clean driving record and complete all required logs and paperwork
- Represent Swift Logistics professionally while interacting with clients and communities
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer driving experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and safety procedures
- Excellent time management and route navigation skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions
- Willingness to work flexible schedules including nights and weekends as needed
- Previous experience with refrigerated or flatbed trailers preferred
