Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial motor vehicles (CMVs) to transport goods across various routes within Colorado and neighboring states.
- Adhere to all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, safety protocols, and company policies at all times.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the truck and trailer are in excellent mechanical condition.
- Manage cargo loading and unloading efficiently to prevent damage and ensure timely delivery schedules.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and daily logbooks.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers to coordinate pickup and delivery times.
- Keep the vehicle interior and exterior clean and presentable at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A or Class B with the appropriate endorsements (Tanker, Hazmat, Doubles/Triples preferred).
- Must possess a clean driving record with no major traffic violations or DUIs within the last 3-5 years.
- Current Medical Examiner’s Certificate (DOT Physical) demonstrating the ability to safely operate a commercial vehicle.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws, road signs, and safe driving practices.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as business needs require.
- Basic English language proficiency for communication and safety instructions.
