Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (dry van, refrigerated, or flatbed) throughout Maryland and surrounding areas
- Load/unload cargo efficiently with proper lifting techniques and equipment operation
- Conduct pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance records
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations, HOS guidelines, and company safety protocols
- Plan optimal delivery routes using GPS navigation systems to meet tight deadlines
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery interactions and problem resolution
- Complete electronic logging (ELD) and documentation accurately and timely
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Proficiency in using electronic logging devices and route navigation systems
- Strong commitment to safety compliance and defensive driving practices
- Ability to lift up to 70 lbs regularly and operate loading equipment
- Flexibility for early morning starts, occasional overtime, and weekend shifts
- Basic math skills for delivery documentation and inventory management
