Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial motor vehicles (CMVs) in strict compliance with all DOT regulations and company policies.
- Perform thorough pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip vehicle inspections and document findings.
- Load and unload cargo securely using proper equipment and techniques.
- Maintain accurate electronic logs (ELD) and daily driver vehicle inspection reports (DVIR).
- Adhere to all traffic laws and ensure the safety of passengers and cargo at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and team members.
- Ensure timely delivery of freight to designated locations while minimizing damage.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or Class B.
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations in the last 3-5 years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical exam and drug screen.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and overtime as needed.
- Basic math skills for cash handling and load verification.
- Strong customer service skills and a professional, courteous attitude.
