Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (dry van, refrigerated, or flatbed) following DOT regulations and company safety protocols
- Plan efficient routes using GPS navigation to ensure timely deliveries within the Dallas metroplex and Texas region
- Conduct thorough pre-trip inspections and report vehicle maintenance needs to prevent downtime
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, paperwork, and electronic records for compliance
- Provide exceptional customer service during loading/unloading and resolve delivery issues proactively
- Collaborate with dispatch team for real-time route adjustments and schedule optimization
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with at least 1 year of verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Clean MVR with no major violations (DUI, reckless driving) in the past 3 years
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying weather conditions
- Basic familiarity with electronic logging devices (ELD) and GPS navigation
- Strong time-management skills and commitment to on-time delivery performance
- Pass background check and drug screening per DOT requirements
- Flexibility for overnight trips and weekend shifts as needed
