Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles on regional routes (NC, SC, VA, GA)
- Complete pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate logs per FMCSA regulations
- Load/unload freight with proper securement techniques
- Adhere to strict delivery schedules while maintaining safety compliance
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding shipment status
- Utilize telematics systems for route optimization and performance tracking
- Participate in ongoing safety training and certification programs
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum 1 year verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Clean MVR with no major violations in past 3 years
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Familiarity with HOS regulations and electronic logging devices (ELD)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions
- Strong communication and time-management skills
- Willingness to submit to background check and reference verification
