Responsibilities
- Operate Class A commercial vehicles for long-haul and regional routes across Illinois and surrounding states
- Ensure timely delivery of freight while adhering to DOT regulations and safety protocols
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting maintenance needs promptly
- Maintain accurate logs and documentation using electronic logging systems
- Provide exceptional customer service through professional communication with dispatch and clients
- Collaborate with logistics team to optimize routes and delivery schedules
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years of verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Strong knowledge of FMCSA regulations and safe driving practices
- Proficiency in using electronic logging devices (ELD) and GPS navigation
- Flexibility to work irregular schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Excellent time management and problem-solving abilities
