Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A/B) to transport freight within New York State
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and electronic records per DOT regulations
- Perform pre-trip inspections and routine vehicle maintenance checks
- Coordinate with dispatch to optimize delivery routes and timelines
- Ensure secure loading/unloading of diverse cargo types
- Adhere strictly to HOS regulations and company safety protocols
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Clean MVR with no major violations in past 3 years
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Proficiency with electronic logging devices (ELD)
- Knowledge of NYC metro area traffic patterns
- Strong communication and customer service skills
