Responsibilities
- Safely transport freight and materials within the DC metropolitan area
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and electronic logging systems
- Perform pre-trip inspections and ensure vehicle maintenance compliance
- Coordinate with dispatch teams for efficient route optimization
- Handle specialized cargo requiring temperature control or hazardous materials endorsement
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery interactions
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Clean MVR with no major violations in past 3 years
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Knowledge of DC metro traffic patterns and regulations
- HazMat endorsement preferred (required for certain routes)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying weather conditions
