Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles for local/regional deliveries in San Jose and Bay Area
- Adhere strictly to FMCSA regulations, HOS compliance, and safety protocols
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and basic preventive maintenance
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation using electronic logging systems
- Optimize routes to ensure on-time deliveries while prioritizing safety
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, clients, and warehouse teams
- Represent Premier Logistics with professionalism in all customer interactions
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable commercial driving experience
- Familiarity with San Jose/Bay Area traffic patterns and delivery zones
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and safety standards
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying weather conditions
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Twic card preferred but not required
