Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial delivery vehicles (Class A or B) on assigned local routes.
- Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment (hand truck, pallet jack, or forklift).
- Verify and inspect cargo for damage before and after transit to ensure accountability.
- Maintain accurate daily logs (DOT compliant) and perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating professionally with clients and adhering to delivery schedules.
- Report any vehicle maintenance needs or safety hazards immediately.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety protocols at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or Class B with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable driving experience in a commercial setting.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws, safety regulations, and map reading.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Basic computer skills for logging and reporting.
