Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles for weekend delivery routes across Minneapolis and surrounding areas
- Conduct thorough pre-trip inspections and ensure compliance with FMCSA regulations
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and electronic records using our advanced fleet management system
- Load/unload freight with proper handling techniques to prevent damage
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and defensive driving practices
- Perform minor vehicle maintenance checks and report issues promptly
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years of commercial driving experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate in various weather conditions
- Strong knowledge of Minneapolis metro area and surrounding regions
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening requirements
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
- Commitment to weekend availability (Friday-Sunday)
- Basic computer literacy for electronic logging systems
