Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to transport freight across the Midwest region.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle compliance and safety standards are met.
- Load and unload cargo efficiently, ensuring weight distribution and securing loads properly.
- Utilize ELD systems to maintain accurate electronic logging and adhere to Hours of Service regulations.
- Maintain a clean driving record and demonstrate safe driving habits at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery times and any delays.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A or Class B (depending on vehicle type).
- Current DOT Medical Card and a clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
- Minimum of 1 year of commercial driving experience preferred, but new grads with a clean record are welcome.
- Weekend availability is mandatory (Friday, Saturday, Sunday).
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Basic mechanical knowledge for minor vehicle troubleshooting.
