Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A/B) to transport goods within the Washington DC metropolitan area
- Adhere to strict delivery schedules while maintaining on-time performance metrics
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and ensure vehicle maintenance compliance
- Complete accurate delivery documentation and electronic logging system entries
- Maintain professional communication with dispatch and clients throughout routes
- Follow all DOT regulations and company safety protocols
- Assist with loading/unloading operations as needed
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum 2 years of commercial driving experience
- Clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Ability to work flexible weekend shifts (Saturday/Sunday)
- Strong knowledge of Washington DC metro area roadways
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
