Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles for weekend deliveries across Virginia Beach and surrounding areas
- Perform thorough pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate DOT compliance logs
- Load/unload freight with precision and care using modern equipment
- Adhere strictly to delivery schedules and route optimization protocols
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery interactions
- Coordinate with dispatch team for real-time route adjustments
- Maintain clean driving record and uphold company safety standards
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean MVR (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable commercial driving experience
- Ability to work Saturdays and Sundays consistently
- Strong knowledge of Virginia Beach metro area and regional highways
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
- Experience with electronic logging devices (ELD)
- Valid HAZMAT endorsement preferred
