Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks to transport goods safely and efficiently across Indiana and surrounding regions.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Load and unload cargo using forklifts or hand trucks, ensuring weight distribution is secure.
- Maintain accurate logs (DVIR) and adhere to all Department of Transportation (DOT) and company policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery times and any route changes.
- Uphold a professional image and demonstrate safe driving habits at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Current DOT medical card and acceptable motor vehicle record (MVR).
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable truck driving experience.
- Ability to pass a drug screen and background check.
- Strong physical stamina to lift, pull, and carry packages up to 50 lbs.
- Basic computer skills for logging and electronic logging device (ELD) management.
