Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles for regional deliveries within Austin and surrounding areas
- Conduct thorough pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate DOT-compliant logs
- Adhere to strict delivery schedules while ensuring cargo security and integrity
- Communicate effectively with dispatch clients using telematics systems
- Perform basic preventative maintenance checks and report mechanical issues promptly
- Collaborate with warehouse teams for efficient loading/unloading operations
- Uphold all FMCSA regulations and company safety protocols
Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class A license with clean MVR (no major violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable commercial driving experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Familiarity with Austin metro routes and Texas highway systems
- Strong defensive driving skills and weather adaptation capabilities
- Basic mechanical knowledge for roadside assistance situations
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying weather conditions
