Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A CDL required) for local and regional routes
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations, safety protocols, and delivery schedules
- Conduct pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Load/unload freight with precision and care using appropriate equipment
- Communicate effectively with dispatch team and clients regarding delivery status
- Utilize GPS navigation systems for efficient route planning and timely arrivals
- Represent the company professionally in all customer interactions
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record (no DUIs in past 5 years)
- Minimum 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate loading/unloading equipment
- Strong knowledge of Louisiana roadways and traffic regulations
- Availability to work weekends (Friday-Sunday) with occasional holiday shifts
- Pass background check and drug screening (DOT compliant)
- Excellent time management and problem-solving abilities
