Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A or B) in strict accordance with DOT regulations and company safety policies.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical safety and compliance.
- Load and unload cargo securely using proper lifting techniques and forklifts to prevent damage.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and ensure all paperwork is up to date.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules, routes, and any potential delays.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and maintain a clean driving record at all times.
- Report any vehicle maintenance needs or safety hazards immediately to management.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with the appropriate endorsements.
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no preventable accidents in the last 3 years.
- Current DOT Medical Card (Must meet Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations).
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience preferred.
- Ability to pass a mandatory DOT drug screen and criminal background check.
