Responsibilities
- Operate commercial vehicles safely and efficiently, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the cargo and truck are secure.
- Load and unload freight accurately, ensuring cargo protection during transit.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and electronic logging device (ELD) records in compliance with FMCSA regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers to resolve delivery issues and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Adhere to company policies regarding punctuality and route adherence.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) required.
- Must have a clean driving record (MVR) and no more than one preventable accident in the last three years.
- Current Medical Examiner’s Certificate (DOT Physical).
- Ability to lift and move freight weighing up to 50 lbs independently.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to work weekends (Saturday & Sunday) as scheduled.
- Basic computer literacy for logging and reporting.
