Responsibilities
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance with DOT regulations.
- Safely operate commercial trucks to deliver and pick up freight on time, adhering to all traffic laws and route plans.
- Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks) efficiently and safely.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and delivery documentation.
- Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the cargo area and vehicle interior.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and warehouse staff regarding delays or issues.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and hazardous material handling procedures when required.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or Class B with a clean driving record.
- Must be available to work Friday, Saturday, and Sunday (Weekend Shift).
- Minimum of 1-2 years of professional driving experience preferred.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Basic mechanical skills to troubleshoot minor vehicle issues.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
