Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks and vans safely and efficiently to deliver freight to designated locations.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure mechanical safety and compliance.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper weight distribution and securing loads to prevent damage.
- Maintain accurate logs and records in accordance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety policies while navigating routes in Miami and surrounding areas.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status and any delays.
- Keep the vehicle clean and presentable at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or Class B required.
- Must possess a clean driving record with no major violations in the past 3-5 years.
- Minimum of 1 year of commercial driving experience preferred.
- Ability to pass a DOT physical examination and drug screening.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to work weekends and holidays as required.
- Basic knowledge of cargo handling and securement techniques.
- Willingness to work flexible hours based on business needs.
