Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A tractor-trailers for weekend freight delivery routes across Tennessee and surrounding states
- Conduct thorough pre/post-trip inspections to ensure DOT compliance and vehicle safety
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and electronic logs (ELD) per FMCSA regulations
- Collaborate with dispatch team for efficient route planning and on-time deliveries
- Handle specialized freight requiring temperature control or hazardous materials certification
- Represent the company professionally through courteous customer interactions at delivery sites
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Current DOT medical certification and ability to pass company physical
- Proficiency with electronic logging devices (ELD) and basic navigation technology
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions
- Strong time management skills with weekend availability (Sat-Sun 6AM-6PM)
- Preferred: Hazmat endorsement or tanker experience
