Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A CDL) for weekend delivery routes throughout Los Angeles County
- Perform pre-trip inspections and ensure compliance with DOT regulations
- Load/unload freight with proper handling techniques and equipment
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and electronic logs
- Adapt to changing schedules and prioritize time-sensitive deliveries
- Collaborate with dispatch team for efficient route optimization
- Uphold company safety standards and represent Premier Logistics professionally
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Clean MVR with no major violations in past 3 years
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds repeatedly
- Weekend availability (Friday-Sunday) and flexibility for occasional holidays
- Familiarity with LA metro area and California highway systems
- DOT medical certification current
- Basic understanding of electronic logging devices (ELD)
