Responsibilities
- Safely Operate Vehicles: Drive commercial trucks (Class A or B) to deliver freight on schedule while adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Vehicle Inspection: Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in safe operating condition and report any maintenance needs.
- Cargo Handling: Secure cargo properly during transit and assist with loading and unloading at distribution centers.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of delivery times, mileage, and cargo manifests in the electronic logging device (ELD).
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure strict compliance with DOT regulations, company policies, and safety protocols at all times.
- Customer Service: Interact professionally with customers and facility personnel to ensure high service standards.
Qualifications
- Valid CDL License: Must possess a valid Commercial Driver's License (Class A or B) with the appropriate endorsements.
- Clean Driving Record: Demonstrated history of safe driving with no major violations or accidents in the last 3 years.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience preferred.
- Availability: Must be available to work weekends (Friday through Sunday) consistently.
- Physical Fitness: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Communication: Strong verbal communication skills and proficiency in using GPS and onboard computer systems.
