Responsibilities
- Safely Operate Commercial Vehicles: Drive 18-wheelers, box trucks, or straight trucks on highways and local delivery routes with precision and care.
- Pre-Trip & Post-Trip Inspections: Conduct thorough vehicle inspections to ensure DOT compliance and safety standards are met before and after every shift.
- Freight Handling: Securely load, unload, and verify cargo to prevent damage and ensure timely delivery.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate logs (DVIR, Bills of Lading) and adhere to all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
- Customer Service: Interact professionally with customers and dispatchers to ensure a smooth delivery experience.
- Safety Compliance: Follow all company safety protocols and traffic laws to minimize risk on the road.
Qualifications
- Valid CDL License: Current Class A or Class B CDL with the appropriate endorsements (e.g., Tanker, Hazmat) as required by the role.
- Driving Record: Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no major violations in the last 3-5 years.
- Eligibility: Must be eligible to work in the United States and pass a background check and drug screen.
- Experience: Proven experience in commercial driving or logistics is highly preferred.
- Physical Ability: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and endure long periods of sitting and standing.
- Communication: Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to navigate using GPS and maps.
