Responsibilities
- Operate commercial vehicles (Class A or Class B) to transport goods safely and efficiently on weekend routes.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper securing and handling of freight.
- Maintain accurate logs (ELD) and delivery documentation in a timely manner.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety protocols while navigating through Baltimore and surrounding areas.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status and any potential delays.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with the appropriate class and endorsements (Tanker, Hazmat preferred).
- Must have a clean driving record (MVR) and no major violations.
- Must be available to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday).
- Physical ability to lift heavy objects, climb in and out of the cab, and stand for extended periods.
- Ability to pass a DOT drug screen and background check.
- Experience in logistics, freight transportation, or related fields is highly preferred.
