Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A/B) to transport goods across North Carolina
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate DOT compliance logs
- Load/unload cargo using proper equipment and safety protocols
- Adhere to strict delivery schedules and communicate with dispatch
- Maintain clean driving record and comply with FMCSA regulations
- Perform minor vehicle maintenance checks and report issues
- Assist in training new drivers on safety procedures
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable commercial driving experience
- Clean MVR with no major violations in past 3 years
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Flexibility to work weekends (Friday-Sunday) and occasional nights
- Proficiency with electronic logging devices (ELD)
- Knowledge of North Carolina highway systems and routes
- Strong work ethic and commitment to safety excellence
