Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks and trailers on a variety of routes throughout Houston and surrounding areas.
- Load and unload freight using hand trucks, pallet jacks, and other equipment, ensuring cargo security.
- Maintain accurate logs and documentation in compliance with DOT and company regulations.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure vehicle safety and readiness.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and safety protocols to ensure a secure driving environment.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery times and any issues encountered.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A required.
- Must possess a clean driving record (no major violations in the last 3-5 years).
- Experience in flatbed, tanker, or dry van preferred.
- Ability to pass a DOT physical examination.
- Willingness to work weekends, holidays, and varying shifts as required.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
